Not often available, hand collected locally from a range of shades of purple flowers. The best Crocus to grow for naturalising since they set lots of viable and are less vulnerable to predation from mice or squirrels than most Crocus. Particularly when sown directly into the ground, rather than planting corms. One of the earliest Crocus, often flowering in early January in West Wales. The flowers are loved by bees, and seed-raised plants should give a range of nearly 2 months of flowers. The seed should flower from 2 to 3 years after sowing.
