Description
Clerodendrum trichotomum var. fargesii
A unique and captivating shrubby perennial. Its fragrant white flowers give way to metallic blue berries, each encased in rich maroon star-shaped calyces. This plant thrives in a sunny or semi-shaded location protected from strong winds. It can reach a height of 1.5-2m (5-7′) and may develop into a small tree over time. Other unusual plants that pair well with Clerodendrum trichotomum var. fargesii include Daphne odora (Winter Daphne) and Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape).
