Veronicastrum sachalinense

Description

Veronicastrum sachalinense

Veronicastrum sachalinense is a tall, elegant perennial prized for its striking vertical presence and late-summer blooms. Native to Sakhalin Island and parts of East Asia, it produces slender spikes of soft lilac to pale blue flowers atop sturdy stems, rising above whorled, lance-shaped green foliage. Reaching heights of 4 to 6 feet, it adds graceful structure and movement to borders, meadows, and naturalistic plantings. A magnet for bees and butterflies, this hardy plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Veronicastrum sachalinense brings height, texture, and ecological value to any pollinator-friendly garden.
