Winter Gardening Weekend 2010

Once again the challenge was down to do something different and for the first time we decided to introduce some painted trees to contrast with the dark shades of the plantings and the anthracite chippings.

The addition of a few metallic sculptures and a waterfall add to the effect.

A fogging machine and paler highlights with the hellebores and Witch Hazels seem to lift an otherwise foreboding scene.
