Where do you stop - Pink Dandelions, Red leaved Plantains, now we have the fabulous 'Gold Leaved Stinging Nettle'. Why would you gow this? you may ask. Well there are numerous reasons. First and foremost this handsome plant is a must for all those of us that like to encourage butterflies into the garden. It is the caterpillars main food source. Secondly it is a highly nutritious food (not raw of course, boiled!) And finally it just glows - we grow ours in the shade and I love it. Height 90cm (3') Needs good soil. It does still sting!!!
