These attractive easily grown alpines are great for troughs & pots as well as sunny spots in the garden. Lovely reddish, sometimes mahogany rosettes are borne in open spiky whorls. Prefers a sunny well drained poor spot. Will grow almost without soil. Best in a poorer site where they seem to persist better, especially in the wet winters.
