Schizostylis (Hesperantha) coccinea ‘Strawberry’

An interesting variety with red flowers attractively streaked with white. Some say this is a virus but it doesn’t affect the bvigour and is very pretty. Sept-Nov. 45-60cm 18-24″

A new variety to us and slightly controversial. Red flowers are attractively streaked with white. This is potentially caused by a virus, but we have studied this and decided that virus or not it is a good strong variety and there are many plants with intentionally introduced viruses to enhance the plant. Open to comments!! A lovely addition to the autumn garden, preferring a sunny moist site, but happy in most sunny spots. Height 45-60cm (1.5-2′)
