An excellent Adrian Slack hybrid. Stocky in growth this lovely hybrid plant has rather unusual purple tinged pitchers with heavily veined hoods. These darken as the year progresses to a beautiful deep mahogany red. Red flowers are an added attraction, borne in spring. Ultimate height is about 30cm. A good hardy hybrid. Like all Sarracenias they need to be kept in soft water in full sun and acidic nutrient-less soil for good growth, efficient fly wasp catchers they grow in full sun in moist or wet acidic nutrient-less soils. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
