(25 seed minimum, open pollinated). A nice addition to any collection. Originally bred by Les Burdett. This complex moorei x leucophylla hybrid is a little special. Tall elegant burgundy pitchers are boldly spotted with gold and this continues into the large lid. Easy to grow it is doesn't divide up as frequently as we would like. Height 46-60cm (18-24"). Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill.
