A rather nice pubescent leucophylla X flava from from Les Burdett. Pitchers are relatively short (although they may well get larger as the years progress), with large frilly hoods, giving an almost ghostly look to the plant. Freely branching it is a good doer. This plant is divided to order, the plant you receive will be a small division bare rooted. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
