Another amazing Sarracenia, a very beautiful hybrid. Bred by Les Burdett. Huge bright deep red frilly pitchers with upright lids are borne on low growing plants. A slow grower that takes a few years to get to a decent size but is so well worth waiting for. Easy and reliable grows to about 30cm in height. Almost as nice, or maybe nicer, than 'True Blood'. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
