What can I say? - this is another absolute star from Les Burdett. Probably the rarest plant in our collection this plant is very shy to divide. This of course makes it that much more desirable! A pubescent hybrid its late pitchers are deepest red turning almost black as the season progresses. Stunning! Height 45cm (18") Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
