A rather beautiful Sarracenia from Ian salter. Tall fat pitchers to about 40cm are borne in an open habit, the hoods often edged with reddish pink. As the season progresses they become almost black. A good hardy hybrid. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
