(Minumum 25 seed per packet open pollinated). Another stunner from Ian Salter. With a vigorous, clump forming habit, the pitchers are wide and sturdy with an exceptionally large hood. (15cm across!) The pitchers are bright green with a deep red throat blotch. A plant to make a real statement! Will reach approximately 55cm. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill.
