(Minumum 25 seed per packet open pollinated) A very pretty plant. Sturdy green pitchers with red veins, a lovely wavy hood and a deep red lip. A vigorous plant which will reach approximately 55cm. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill.
