A nice variety from Ian salter. The bright green pitchers are topped with a lovely spade shaped hood. The fine red veining to the pitchers and the deep red throat stripe make for a very attractive plant. Will reach a height of approximately 55cm.Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
