(Minumum 25 seed per packet open pollinated) This is a really beautiful plant and a must for any collection.The pitchers are green at the base but develop a lovely pink blush towards the top and onto the wavy hood. As the pitchers mature the colour deepens resulting in a very striking deep pink colour. This plant, which stands at approximately 70cm, is elegant, striking and statuesque. One of our favourites! Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill.
