Nice Catesbyi type plant. The young pitchers are a vibrant green with an interesting pointed hood. As the pitchers mature the venation becomes a dark red and the large hoods open outwards. A compact variety attaining a height of around 12 inches. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
