This lovely dwarf Sarracenia has red pitchers with deep red veining going up into the lid, which is frilled around the edges and has an upright shape. As autumn approaches the colour intensifies to a deep red. A short compact variety of unknown parentage. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Good as container plants - stand in rain water spring to autumn, keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy. Excellent plants for fly catching on a sunny window sill. This plant is divided to order, the plant you receive will be a large division bare rooted.
