A beast of a plant, short stocky and very vigorous this plant is one for all collections. The pitchers are green and heavily suffused with orange culminating in the deepest reddish orange lips and lids. Height 30-45cm. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
