Beautiful green pitchers with red veining which is lighter at the bottom and gradually gets darker towards the top and onto the lid. The inside of the pitcher has a lovely deep red column and rim. This Sarracenia has attractive flowers borne on tall flower spikes in April and May. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
