(25 Seed minimum per packet, open pollinated) (L 02) One of the most attractive groups of pitcher plants, the leucophyllas are some of the most brightly coloured. Greenish red pitchers are stunningly mottled white and veined with red . Attractive deep red flowers are borne April - June. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
