(L 01) Sarracenia leucophylla are amongst the most attractive of al the species and this one is particularly nice. The pitchers are tall, green at the base fading to white as you reach the hood. Deep red veins cover the entire plant, very striking against the white top. Striking dark red flowers are an added attraction and these last for weeks. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
