(25 Seed minimum per packet, open pollinated) (F OR 02) These forms are really hardy, being amongst the best for outdoor planting. Preferring a sunny moist spot in acidic nutrient free soil they will soon form large clumps. This one is a good strong form with yellowish green pitchers and lids, veined with deep red. Tall flower spikes bear rather strange looking yellow flowers. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
