A tender sub shrub, or herbaceous perennial with soft sage green/grey foliage that bear long sprays of deep purple flowers each of which is surrounded by deep blue calyx. Prefers a sunny sheltered site in a well drained poorish soil. Take a few cuttings before winter as a precaution. Height 1m (3')
