Violet Willow. A fast growing small tree with purple coloured stems with a white bloom to them. Can be hard pruned every two years in late March. Catkins are borne in the spring before the leaves open. Will get to 8m (24') if left unpruned in ten years. Excellent for insect life especially bees.
