A tuberous tender species that may survive in a very sheltered site.Tall stems up to 1.5m (5′) bear unusual bicoloured red, orange and yellow flowers from July – Sept. Prefers a moist well drained site in good light. Very unusual, rare in its original location.
A tuberous, perennial species, rare in cultivation. Produces tall, upright stems with unusual bicolored, red, orange and yellow 3-4 cm long flowers. Flowers July to September. Height up to 1.5 m. Moist, rich, well-drained soil, positioned in good light. Keep on the dry side over winter. Proven hardy to -5C in some parts of the south of England with a winter mulch.
