Peltoboykinia watanabei
An intriguing plant valued primarily for its striking architectural leaves, which unfurl beautifully in the springtime. While its sprays of small, somewhat inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers resemble those of Heuchera, it is the foliage that truly steals the show. Thriving in shady sites, this plant reaches a height and spread of 45cm (1.5 feet), making it an excellent choice for shade plantings. This plant prefers rich, moist soil and thrives in partially shaded to fully shaded locations. Its unique foliage adds texture and interest to woodland gardens or shaded borders. When paired with other shade-loving plants like Hosta and Tiarella, Peltoboykinia watanabei enhances the diversity and visual appeal of shaded landscapes.
