A beautiful form of this Iris, flowering as it does in the darkest months of the year. It is absolutely hardy thriving in the most baked, poor soils, needing almost nothing but sun. Trim leaf tips in Jan as they can look a bit tatty. Height 30-45cm (12-18'). The plant originates from Greece and its Islands as well as North Africa. The best flowers are always from large congested clumps so don't divide too often.
