Interesting fine leaved herb with a very pungent smell when crushed. Roman Wormwood or Little Absinthe as it is commonly called, is used in the production of absinthe. Prefers a sunny well drained site where it will soon form large colonies. Easy and reliable. The essential oil contains cineol, camphor, thujone, and borneo. It is said to be less bitter than the great absinth ( A absintha) and is the main flavouring of Vermouth, an aromatized fortified wine.
