This superb hybrid between H. maxima and H. nobilis, named after Severin Schlyter, combines the vigour and handsome large evergreen foliage of H. maxima with the flower colour and form of H. nobilis. Although hardy, this hybrid is best grown under protection in an alpine house if grown outside it must have an extremely sheltered position. This one has large pale blue flowers
