A lovely bulbous plant that grows on cliff faces in the Drakensburg mountains. Easy to grow it produces unusual horizontal stems that bear up to seven large scarlet flowers. Needs a very well drained spot and winter frost protection. Becomes dormant in late summer. Height 18cm (8") The common name comes from attempts to see it on the cliffs... a precarious task!
