This is quite a spectacular pitcher plant with the appearance of a striking cobra with forked tongue that produce an unusual green and maroon flower. Hardy. Like all Darlingtonias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
