A deciduous shrub grown for its flame coloured stems in winter and lovely soft golden autumn foliage. Prune hard every two years to retain stem colour. Tolerant of wet conditions. Will brighten up a dark area in the garden in the darkest months. Best planted in groups to make a really big impact. If left un pruned it will grow to 1.5m(4') in 5 yrs but the colour will not be quite so bright
