Tightly packed rosettes of deep reddish purple sword-like leaves slowly grow to form eventually a palm-like shrub or small tree. Large panicles of creamy white flowers are borne during the Summer. Eventual height 60cm (24") . Prefers a sunny sheltered site. A smaller and darker form of the parent (Red Star)
