(L 02) One of the most attractive groups of pitcher plants, the leucophyllas are some of the most brightly coloured. Greenish red pitchers are stunningly mottled white and veined with red . Attractive deep red flowers are borne April – June. Excellent in a sunny conservatory or unheated greenhouse as they are not quite as hardy as some of the other Sarracenias. Good as container plants – stand in rain water spring to autumn, keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy. Excellent plants for fly catching on a sunny window sill.
Plants may be sent bare rooted. see details on potting here
