Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Eldorado'

A lovely form of this grass, with its gold and green striped leaves. Shoot appear in early spring, followed by flowers that are greenish-mauve first, then fade to grey-pink. Height 90-180cm (5-6ft) Spread 60cm (2ft). A vartiegated form of 'Karl Foerster, this is a truly impressive grass. Seed heads last well into the winter.
