An improved variety of this rather nice shrub, its beauty shining out and improving as the season progresses. White, almost Hawthorn-like, flowers are beautiful in the spring followed by black berries in Sept/Oct. Rich reddish purple autumn foliage just adds to the impact. Berries are edible and extremely rich in antioxidants, higher than most other fruits. the flavour is sharp and although they can be eaten raw they are best dried or juiced. 2-3m A reliable and hardy shrub.
