An attractive hardy species from Pakistan to Western China. Erect stems bear domed umbels of intense mid-purple spherical flower heads stems from amidst strap like leaves during July & August. Easy in well drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 30-45cm (12-18"). Unlike many Alliums the leaves don't get tatty.
