A fantastic group of plants for adding a touch of colour to the shady garden in the autumn - just when colour is needed. Rosettes of waxy dark reddish green attractive leaves are the perfect foil for sprays of large highly ornate deep red flowers. Prefers a well drained yet moisture retentive soil in a semi shaded site. Height 15cm (6"). One of the more flamboyant varieties. Flowers October-November. Fully hardy in a normal winter. Excellent for woodland gardens.
