Our Ref No : 19366 £9.99 Stock : 0
Size: Bare rooted
A very pretty variety of sarracenia. It is not as tall as some Sarracenia hybrids but the pitchers are wide and sturdy, with a green base and white mottling towards the top. The pinkish frilled hood has dark red veining and the lip id thick and dark red. Pitchers darken with age to a lovely burgundy colour. It needs to be kept in soft water in acidic nutrientless soil for good growth. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1") of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. This plant is divided to order, the plant you receive will be a large division bare rooted.
