A really traditional Primula that is making a welcome revival. Originating in Elizabethan times this remarkable plant has certainly stood the test of time. It is actually a polyanthus with the most exquisitely marked gold edged deep red, sometimes almost black, flowers. Borne April-May, it is one of the nicest spring flowers. Height 20cm (8'). Prefers a slightly shaded humus rich site.
