A really wonderful new introduction. Almost black tipped buds open to dusky scarlet flowers and like all the amplexicaulis knotweeds it is extremely long flowering, lasting from July till October. Best in a retentive soil in full sun or part shade. Height 1.2m. Spread. Prefers a sunny soil with plenty of moisture. An excellent plant for the back of the border. Height and spread 90-100cm (3ft)
