A very easily grown succulent. An interesting flowering indoor plant that is a member of the asparagus family. Bulbous onion-like 'bulbs' have attractive unusual pony-tail like leaves that die back if they get very dry. Tall spires of white fragrant flowers are borne en masse during the summer. Unusually small onion-like offsets are borne just beneath the skin leading to its common name 'The pregnant onion plant'. Height 30-45cm.
