Lavandula 'Hidcote'
Lavandula 'Hidcote' is a charming, compact shrub, known for its fragrant, greyish-green foliage and sturdy stems bearing deep violet-blue flowers from early July onwards. This dwarf variety thrives best in a sunny, well-drained location, preferably in alkaline soil. To maintain a tidy appearance and extend its lifespan, it is recommended to prune the plant hard after flowering. With a height and spread of 60cm (2 feet), it is a beloved favourite among gardeners. Associated unusual plants that complement the beauty of Lavandula 'Hidcote' include Santolina chamaecyparissus and Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus'.
