This is a stunning deciduous shrub for the larger garden. It has massive heads, up to 25cms across, of creamy white flowers. Each flower has a purple haze-like centre. The blooms then turn purplish pink with age. It flowers from early summer & is very prolific. The hairy foliage is a contrasting greenish purple. Copes with sun & wind & is very tough. Hardy 2-2.5m (6-8')
