Coleus hybrids, members of the mint family, are cherished for their vibrant, kaleidoscopic foliage. Their height can vary significantly, ranging from compact varieties of 15-30 cm to towering specimens reaching up to 90 cm or more, depending on the specific hybrid.

The leaves, typically heart-shaped or ovate, may display intricate combinations of green, red, purple, pink, yellow, and even black. Some cultivars feature bold, contrasting veins or borders, whilst others showcase subtle ombré effects. Although Coleus can produce small, insignificant flower spikes, they are usually pinched off to encourage bushier growth and maintain the plant's ornamental leaf display.

Thriving in partial shade to full sun, Coleus hybrids prefer rich, moist, well-draining soil. They're splendid choices for containers, borders, or as bedding plants, bringing a burst of colour to gardens, patios, and even indoor spaces.
