An evergreen shrub of medium growth. Its masses of fully double flowers are a pinkish red. For best results it prefers an acidic, moisture retentive position, ideally in part shade or full sun if soil conditions are suitable. It has reasonable tolerance of coastal conditions and is good on north or east walls, away from the morning sun. Height 2m (6') in 10 years.
