An evergreen member of this lovely family. Interesting for both its ornamental and culinary uses. Flowers arise from attractive buds during late autumn, lilac and starry. They are held on stems 15-20cm tall and add a touch of something to the autumn garden. Can be eaten raw or cooked so an excellent all round plant. Prefers a sunny well drained site. Good for dry conditions.
